1. Spend Some Time Outside
Class, library, work, home are usual locations. However, being outside brings benefits like de-stressing, lower blood pressure, ability to focus better, creative ideas, strengthen the immune system and others.
According to Scientific Report, 120 minutes a week of outdoor time leads to the most advantages for your health.
Take advantage of extra time you have during this thanksgiving holiday and spend time outside away from homework and daily routine.

2. Sleep if You Wish
The sound of an alarm scares and reminds you that the new day begins. This weekend you have an opportunity to sleep in.
Sleep protects and helps our body to recover after a busy day. In general, people need to sleep around 7-10 hours to recover.
Classes take a lot of energy from you so take some extra time to sleep would make your body grateful.

3. Watch a Movie or a TV Show
Movies are another great way to relax. You can watch it by yourself, with your family or friends.
The list of new movies coming out never ends and when you are in school watching a movie is not an option.
Maybe you already have a movie in mind that you wanted to watch for a long time, it the time to do it.

4. Treat Yourself With Your Favorite Food
Cheat days serve its own purpose too. If you want to eat pizza or a cookie or a pie that you have been dreaming about for a long time, go ahead and do it.
One day a week or a month is not going to change a lot. Don’t let one time become two or three times.
Continue keeping your food diary to control your nutrition intake. It will help you stay within boundaries and still treat yourself because you deserve it.

5. Call Your Family and Friends
Spend some time with your family and share with them what you are grateful for. Maybe your cousin didn’t hear from you for a while. A holiday break offers you some extra time to make those calls.
If you have an opportunity to travel and surprise your family or a friend with the visit, it may make them happy and feel loved.

6. Exercise for a Little Bit
Five or ten minutes of a workout may compensate for some extra calories you consume this holiday break. It doesn’t have to be anything complex, even a couple of exercise sets at home would do it.
Your body will be grateful to you and that you take good care of it.

7. Get Ahead on Some of the Class Assignment
Extra time during holidays could be used for your homework too. The finals are coming soon and preparing for it by getting ahead will make your last weeks of the semester less stressful.
No one canceled time to rest. Working on some class assignments can be optional. Emotional health depends on the balance each day.
Choose some assignments that you enjoy and work on them during your break so you have less to do later.
